Mama’s Vegetarian Spaghetti

Very few people make their own spaghetti sauce anymore, probably because of all of the extra work involved. Here is a delicious recipe for homemade sauce that largely uses convenience foods, making it quick, easy, and yummy!

You need:

2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup diced onion
2 cloves minced garlic
1 (28oz) can petite diced tomatoes
1 (14.5oz) can petite diced tomatoes
1 (10 oz) can condensed tomato soup
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste

Cook onions and garlic in olive oil until slightly softened. Add rest of ingredients, and simmer on low for 20 minutes. Serve over pasta. If this is served with whole wheat pasta (Barilla, for example), you’ll have a very healthy, yet scrumptious meal!
